Ponderisms! Now that’s something fun!

And what can be more fun than dressing up your dog for Halloween?

Am I the only one in the whole wide world that doesn’t know what a “ponderism” is?  Now that I think about it, I can’t be.  I went to the dictionary and looked for an official definition and came up empty handed!

Well, maybe one of my fearless readers will suggest a definition of “ponderism” but in the meantime, here are some great examples!

  • How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
  • Why are you IN a movie, but you’re ON TV?
  • If money doesn’t grow on trees then why do banks have branches?
  • Since bread is square, then why is sandwich meat round?
  • Do Lipton Tea employees take coffee breaks?
  • Why doesn’t glue stick to the bottle?
  • What disease did cured ham actually have?
  • How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
  • If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?
  • If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?
  • What hair color do they put on the driver’s licenses of bald men?

Forgot what your car looks like? Get a Fun Car Tattoo car magnet!

How many times have you forgotten what your car looks like?

I found this on the internet so heaven only knows if this is true but it’s a very good reason to put a Fun Car Tattoo on your car!

“An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs, ‘I HAVE A GUN, AND I KNOW HOW TO USE IT! GET OUT OF THE CAR!’

The four men didn’t wait for a second threat. They got out and ran like mad.

The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver’s seat.

She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then she realized why, … it was for the same reason she had wondered why there was a football, a Frisbee and two 12 packs of beer in the front seat.

A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake.

The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn’t stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a carjacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun.

No charges were filed.”

Too bad she didn’t have a Fun Car Tattoo on her car. Fun Car Tattoos are easy on, easy off, UV resistant magnets that don’t leave a sticky residue like bumper stickers do.

This whole situation could have been avoided if she had just had an hibiscus, peace sign or cat paw magnet on her car!

Female Entrepreneur Launches Car Magnet Business

Female Entrepreneur Launches Car Magnet Business

With the high cost of gas these days, people are finding it harder and harder to make their morning commute. Just getting behind the driver’s seat puts a lot of commuters in a bad mood for the rest of the day. If you are one of those stressed out drivers who cringe every time you get into your car, a smile may just be a magnet away. “Every time I get into my little red car that is covered with dog paw magnets, I smile,” says Jo Anne Cohn, owner of Fun Car Tattoos. “And what makes it even better is when I’m stopped at a red light, people give me the thumbs up and flash a huge smile.”

Cohn says the idea for Fun Car Tattoos came from wanting to have more fun in her life. She was tired of the 9 to 5 routine and making decisions by committee. Having spent time as a Peace Corps volunteer in central Africa, Cohn knew that starting a business wasn’t enough. She had to figure out a way to “share the wealth” and give back to the community.

“Fun Car Tattoos combines the best from the corporate world and the nonprofit world,” says Cohn. Five percent of the selling price of the magnets will go to non-profits including Canine Companions for Independence, the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, and the YWCA of Sonoma County. Cohn is always looking for new magnet designs and non-profits to team up with. “I’d like to expand my product line and include some cute cat paw print magnets. I just haven’t made the time to find a grassroots non-profit to team up with.”

Having fun is all in a day’s work for Cohn. Now that she’s gotten the magnets designed, she has to figure out how to market them. “And that’s where even more fun comes in,” says Cohn grinning ear to ear. “Take a look at this smiling skull and cross bones,” pointing to a very friendly car magnet. “Did you know that International Talk Like a Pirate Day is coming up on September 19th? Now I’ve just got to figure out how to market to that group!”

FunCarTattoos is a leading maker of decorative easy on, easy off, flexible vinyl car magnets that are made in USA.

Christmas is right around the corner!

OMG… I just looked at the calendar and guess what I have to do?  Start thinking of Fun Car Tattoos for the holidays!   Well, that will be fun!  Think that I’m going to run down to the International Gift Show in San Francisco this weekend and check it out.  I can’t wait to see what’s going to be new for the holidays this year!

In the meantime, I have a car magnet that I think (hope!) will be a best seller this year.

It’s the Peace Symbol!  Wouldn’t that be a super way  to end the year?  Peace on earth!  It just doesn’t get better than that!

Do you know the origin of the Peace Symbol?

According to Wikipedia, this forked symbol was designed for the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War (DAC) and was adopted as its badge by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) in Britain, and originally was used by the British nuclear disarmament movement. It was subsequently adopted as an international emblem for the 1960s anti-war movement, and was also adopted by the counterculture of the time. It was designed and completed February 21, 1958 by Gerald Holtom, a professional designer and artist in Britain for the April 4 march planned by DAC from Trafalgar Square, London to the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment at Aldermaston in England[4]. The symbol itself is a combination of the semaphoric signals for the letters “N” and “D,” standing for Nuclear Disarmament. In semaphore the letter “N” is formed by a person holding two flags in an upside-down “V,” and the letter “D” is formed by holding one flag pointed straight up and the other pointed straight down. These two signals imposed over each other form the shape of the peace symbol. In the first official CND version (preceded by a ceramic pin version that had straight lines, but was short lived) the spokes curved out to be wider at the edge of the circle which was white on black.

Peace Symbols come in an assortment of colors today and can be seen on everything from tee-shirts, to sandals to car magnets.  Hey…Did I mention car magnets?  If you want to buy yourself something awesome this year (or need a perfect gift for one of your friends), check out this Peace Symbol magnet at Fun Car Tattoos!

It’s all about fun!
