Ponderisms! Now that’s something fun!

And what can be more fun than dressing up your dog for Halloween?

Am I the only one in the whole wide world that doesn’t know what a “ponderism” is?  Now that I think about it, I can’t be.  I went to the dictionary and looked for an official definition and came up empty handed!

Well, maybe one of my fearless readers will suggest a definition of “ponderism” but in the meantime, here are some great examples!

  • How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
  • Why are you IN a movie, but you’re ON TV?
  • If money doesn’t grow on trees then why do banks have branches?
  • Since bread is square, then why is sandwich meat round?
  • Do Lipton Tea employees take coffee breaks?
  • Why doesn’t glue stick to the bottle?
  • What disease did cured ham actually have?
  • How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
  • If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?
  • If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?
  • What hair color do they put on the driver’s licenses of bald men?

But even my corgi can’t hold a candle to these border collies.  Check out this video! You won’t believe that it’s dogs and sheep!

Carbon Footprint Car Magnets!

Fun Car Tattoos got even more fun!  I wanted to find something more “green” to sell on my website and I just found it… Show the World You Care Car Magnets!

Carbon Footprint magnets from Fun Car Tattoos are just $6 each and are approximately 4″ x 8″.  Not only would they look great on your car, but they bring attention to the impact that our lifestyles have on the environment.

Let’s all start right now to help the environment.  Here are Seven Simple Steps for Living Green!

1.  Get a Greenfoot magnet for your car… The symbol of environmental awareness. Displaying a Greenfoot car magnet on your vehicle lets others know that you’ve made the decision to live green.

2.  OUTSMART YOUR APPLIANCES. If you must use them, then run your dishwasher and your laundry machine only when you have a full load.

3.  Grow something green … whether you have an acre of land or just a windowsill, you can grow something… plant a garden, or plant a tree. Plants give off oxygen and that helps us all. Indoors use a counter or a window for herb gardens. (Get ideas at vermontnaturecreations.com )

4.  Recycle in the kitchen, it’s simple…separate your paper, plastics, and cans. By recycling you will be producing less waste in our landfills.

5.  Elect to use a coffee mug for your brew instead of disposable cups, (some coffee shops will give discounts when you bring your own mug).

6.  Eliminate excessive energy use…turn off lights when you are not in the room. In the winter turn down your thermostat at night. In warm weather open a window at night or use a fan, instead of using your AC.

7.  Now spread the word, awareness is key. Together we will make a difference and change our world!

Cute St. Paddy’s Day Joke!

smileyWhen I think of fun, I think of Fun Car Tattoos!  But I know that the world doesn’t revolve around Peace Symbol car magnets or smiley face car magnets!

So… Happy St. Paddy’s Day and I hope you enjoy this joke as much as I enjoy my Fun Car Tattoos!

Flynn staggered home very late after another evening with his drinking buddy, Paddy. He took off his shoes to avoid waking his wife, Nancy..

He tiptoed as quietly as he could toward the stairs leading to their upstairs bedroom, but misjudged the bottom step. As he caught himself by grabbing the banister, his body swung around and he landed heavily on his rump. A whiskey bottle in each back pocket broke and made the landing especially painful.

Managing not to yell, Flynn sprung up, pulled down his pants, and looked in the hall mirror to see that his butt cheeks were cut and bleeding. He managed to quietly find a full box of Band-Aids and began putting a Band-Aid as best he could on each place he saw blood.

He then hid the now almost empty Band-Aid box and shuffled and stumbled his way to bed.

In the morning, Flynn woke up with searing pain in both his head and butt and  Nancy staring at him from across the room.

She said, ‘You were drunk again last night weren’t you?’

Flynn said, ‘Why you say such a mean thing?’

‘Well,’ Nancy said, ‘it could be the open front door, it could be the broken glass at the bottom of the stairs, it could be the drops of blood trailing through the house, it could be your bloodshot eyes, but mostly…..it’s all those Band-Aids stuck on the hall mirror.

Around the world, pizza toppings vary greatly; reflecting regional tastes, indigenous foods and cultural preferences.

Predominantly, pizzas are separated into to varieties: the “artisan” type, made in ovens with wood fires and, the “commercial” type, (Dominos, Papa Johns, etc). The most popular toppings being pepperoni, vegetarian and anchovies.

Some of the more popular international toppings in India are pickled ginger, minced mutton and “paneer,” (a form of cottage cheese), which looks quite like tofu but is obviously a dairy product. Tandoori chicken and chicken “tikka” are also increasingly popular toppings in India.

Mayo Jaga (mayonnaise, potato and bacon), and, eel and squid are favorites in Japan.

Brazilians favor green peas on top of their pizzas.

In Russia, they serve pizza covered with “mockba,” a combination of sardines, tuna, mackerel, salmon and onions. Red herring is also a topping of choice.
